Roller blinds

Roller blinds offer an uncomplicated, easy-to-handle technology as well as many colours and patterns in order to guarantee you optimal living and working conditions. (Rollos) Roller blinds can have many advantages, such as keeping the sun out, protection from burglary or unwelcome glances of neighbours.(Sonnenschutz, Sichtschutz) A A layer on the back of the roller blinds reflects the sun radiation and thus reduces an extreme heating-up in the rooms. Roller blinds are applicable almost everywhere, no matter if on roof windows, studio windows or in special shapes such as trapezium and so on.

Roller blinds with side-pull

This is the most often used variation. Here on the right or left side of the crank a circulating endless cord or ball-cord is attached with which the crank can be rotated and thus the blind cloth can be pulled either up or down. The advantage of the side-pull is that the roller blinds are low-maintenance and easy to roll up or down. Furthermore, they offer a long durability and the handling of even large roller blinds is absolutely simple.

Roller blinds with operation from the middle

(Blinds with resilient return)
For operating this roller blind the cloth is pulled down on a cord or a handle. Thereby a spring which is located inside the crank is stretched. If you want the blinds to stay at the bottom you have to make sure that the spring is locked. This can be achieved by carefully stopping the blinds in the desired height. In correspondence, the spring can be un-locked by a jerking movement, if the blinds are supposed to snap up again. This kind of operation requires patience and is less suitable.

Roller blinds with an electric drive

These blinds are equipped with an electro motor (mostly located in a box above the blinds) which moves the blinds. Especially for blinds that are difficult to reach (e.g. in large heights) this variation is recommendable. Some blinds have a radio sensor which allows the blinds to be controlled by means of a remote control.

Roller blinds to snap in

For roof windows often blinds are applied whose rod adding to the weight are snapped in holdings that are mounted to the left or the right of the blinds. (Rollos zum Einrasten) The basic for this system is again the spring mechanism of a blind with resilient return, which is here due to a technical modification, kept stretched and cannot lock.(Schnapprollo)

Roller blind types

There are different kinds of roller blinds for example the classical version which is often used for domestic use, the roller blinds with a cassette, roller blinds which is mounted in a glass rail, blinds for roof windows, double blinds or XL blinds for extra large windows. There are no limits in colour and design.

Roman blinds

Roman blinds, also known as folding roller blinds, are curtains or blinds that are gathered at the sides to create soft, hanging folds.(Raffrollos) The fabric is not wrapped around a crank but gathered on the back by cords. In order to make the Roman blinds look more exact they can be equipped with horizontal sticks and thus achieve an extraordinary shape which provide extra stiffness and a straight falling of the blinds. The rods for adding additional weight are invisible. This has already to be considered when the Roman blinds are cut. The cutting is customized to the required measures.

Venetian blinds

With blinds made of aluminium or wood light in rooms can be perfectly adjusted. (Aluminiumjalousien; Holzjalousien) Furthermore, they are almost everywhere applicable, no matter if on roof pitches, arches, walls or ceilings. In the meanwhile one can distinguish between two kinds of blinds, blinds for interior use and vertical blinds. You can simply turn the rod or pull the chain and the blinds are turned. Blinds are available in many colours/patterns and create a unique room atmosphere.

Aluminium blinds are available in 16mm, 25mm, 35 mm or 50mm lamella wideness. The more narrow the wideness the more filigree the blinds appear. For small windows 16mm blinds are especially suitable. Blinds can also be operated by motors, most of them have a 24V motor and thus are absolutely easy to handle.
